The X-Pole X-Pert (XX)

by Maria on November 11, 2009

x poleThe X-Pole X-Pert comes with two sporty bags to carry the differently-shaped parts , two longer poles, two bases, two extensions, a tool kit (contains everything you need to put the pole together), a DVD, an instruction manual, and a metal cover for the otherwise-exposed, adjustable top.  This is a bottom loading pole.

You can  put the pole in static or spin mode depending on your level.  We even had a couple pros tell us that this pole was exactly like their work pole, except portable.   The grip, the spin type, and the material, are all authentic. This pole is an amazing fitness pole thanks to its durability. You can take pole dancing classes to get started but if live pole dance instruction is not your thing then start with some great pole dvds if you want to learn your pole at home.

If you are very petite and have small hands than you will definitely want to go for the 45mm rather than the 50mm.  Another great attribute is the ceiling height range of this pole from 7 ’4″ – 9″.  There are a lot of poles that start at 8′ ceilings so this is a great advantage to this pole.

  • Size – 45mm or 50mm  1.75″ – 2″
  • Price – Chrome – $329.99
  • Titanium – $359.99
  • Shipping – US – $40  ships fed ex ground 4-5 days     AK/HI – $50  6-10 days
  • Canada – $95 shipping 6-10 days.
  • Ceiling height range – 7’4″ -  9’

The X-poles are very sturdy dance poles. You do need to be sure to install them properly tho. There is no weight limit written anywhere but 245lbs is probably a good guideline. :)
I hope this is helpful!

Hi Angie, No you do not drill into the ceiling for any friction mounted dance poles…. :)

Anonymous May 9, 2011 at 7:18 pm

I have a couple of the Lil Mynx dance poles and I love, love, love em…. They are super stable with the drilled mounting piece. I have danced on a few of the friction mounted poles too. If these poles are installed correctly they are very stable. Can you drill into your ceiling? Do you want a one or multi piece pole? X-pole, and lil Mynx are comparable as far as quality goes. I would suggest you choose the pole that suits your needs not necessarily what everybody else has. (Also if you want the option Lil Mynx Pro Pole is a multi piece friction mount dance pole with their original drilled mount too!)
Now get to spinning :)

im a bit confused. the videos i see for x pole xpert , there is no drilling, i have a tile floor and since its renting cant drill holes. is the x pole requiered to drill the floor?

I haven’t gotten my pole yet. can anyone tell me how the stability is. will it fall over on me while I’m doing a trick? And does do any damage to your ceiling? I’m undecided between an x-pole and a rotating lil mynx. I know the lil mynx has the screw your suppose to put in the ceiling instead of relying on just friction. but the x-pole seems to be more popular. I’m mainly worried about reliabilty and stability.

Ha that’s awesome! I love that you have to take it down when your parents come to visit… Pretty soon every home will have one as a standard piece of workout/ dance equipment and we won’t need to take them down for anyone! xo

Hi Eddie,
Thanks for visting our website, we are glad to help!
As a beginner I would start her with a 50mm chrome. Unless she has really small hands, but that is the normal size for the dance poles. The chrome is also a basic. Some people like the gold titanium because it is a little stickier as far as gripping for climbing tricks, but not all that much different. But it does look cool!
Have fun, and if you are over 240lbs I suggest you stay off of it!!! lol
Cheers, deb

Hi! Your site is so helpful.

I read all your reviews and have decided to buy an X-pole for my girlfriend. The only thing I don’t know is whether to get the 45mm or 50mm model, and whether to get the chrome or titanium gold models. She is a beginner, but a natural-born dancer. What do you think?

Hi Anita,
You would be fine with any of the dance poles that X-Pole offers!
Keep on spinning!

Hi, i’m buying an Xpole at the end of the month but do not know which size to get? I’m 5 ft 10 and weigh 11st.
Which do you think would suit me best?
Great site by the way!

The review says it “will hold your weight” but what exactly is the weight limit?? :) Thanks!

Thank you for visiting our site!
The x-pole is rated for 200 lbs. It is very important to install your dance pole correctly no matter what the weight of the person using it. Be sure to follow the directions that are provided!
Have fun, and keep on spinning!
